Bosa is a colorful town situated midway between Alghero and Oristano. Between alleys, porches and steps you can admire the traditional houses of pink and green tuff, built close to the Castello di Serravalle, on the hill of the same name, built from 1112 by the Marquis of Malaspina
The beauty of the landscape owes much to the Bosa River Temo, the only waterway in Sardinia.
The river crosses the city center, offering a unique and fascinating. The river Temo may be traced for several kilometers, to the ruins of a Roman bridge and the church of San Pietro Extramuros
That can't be missed is the Argentina Tower, in direction to Alghero.
Prestigious exhibitions are housed in the museum house Casa Deriu, in Corso Vittorio Emanuele, the seat of learning dedicated to Melkiorre Melis. Not far away, in front of Casa Deriu, while Corso Vittorio Emanuele, visit the permanent exhibition dedicated to the painter Antonio Atza. During the summer interesting art exhibitions are held in the Saracen Tower of Isola Rossa in Bosa Marina ..
Strolling along the river you can see women working the front door and the frame, including a chat and the other, embroider profiles peacocks and deer decorating shawls and curtains, embellished with fine filet of Bosa.
The famous Malvasia di Bosa DOC white wine demi-sec, sweet or dry naturally, you can drink with the raw seafood: two years older but you can drink before as an appetizer. From the Malvasia grape produces a sustained fil'e ferru typical Sardinian grappa
One of the most popular manifestation is certainly the feast of Our Lady of the Sea held every year on the first Sunday in August, especially felt by fishermen and farmers, which was formerly dedicated the festival. The second Sunday of September the historic center of Bosa is animated at the feast of Our Lady of Regnos Altos.
